OUR STORY

It started with a belief that care could be different.

Peace of Mind Wellness began with a deeply personal understanding of what it means to need care that sees beyond symptoms—to the person, the family, and the life being affected.

Sometimes purpose finds us through the experiences that change us.

WHERE IT BEGAN

In 2016, my family experienced a life-changing moment that reshaped the way I understood mental health, healing, and the importance of compassionate care.

As a mother and a nurse, I found myself navigating both sides of the experience—understanding the clinical importance of getting the right support while also witnessing firsthand the fear, uncertainty, and vulnerability that can accompany a difficult life experience.

Therapy became an important part of our family’s healing. What stayed with me was not simply the treatment itself, but the power of having a safe place to be heard, supported, and understood.

That experience planted a seed.

A personal promise became a larger purpose.

FROM EXPERIENCE TO PURPOSE

What began as a personal commitment to healing gradually became a vision for something larger.

I wanted to create the kind of mental health care I believed people deserved—care grounded in clinical excellence, but never separated from compassion. A place where people could feel safe asking questions, where families could feel supported, and where treatment could consider the whole person rather than simply a diagnosis.

Over time, that vision grew beyond my own family. My work as a psychiatric nurse practitioner, educator, mentor, and advocate continued to reinforce the same truth: meaningful care happens when knowledge and humanity meet.

Peace of Mind Wellness grew from that vision.

What began as a commitment to help others feel less alone has evolved into a multidisciplinary practice where psychiatry, psychotherapy, advanced assessment, and innovative wellness approaches come together under one philosophy:

See the whole person. Listen to the whole story. Create care with purpose.
