OUR PHILOSOPHY
Care that sees the whole you.
01
The diagnosis is part of the story—not the whole story.
We consider symptoms alongside relationships, lifestyle, physical wellness, environment, and the experiences that shape how you feel.
02
Treatment should be measured, not assumed.
Thoughtful assessment and ongoing evaluation help us understand what’s working, what isn’t, and when the plan should change.
03
Medication is one option—
not the entire plan.
When appropriate, psychiatric treatment can work alongside psychotherapy, advanced assessment, and innovative wellness approaches.
04
Care should evolve
with you.
Your needs may change over time. Your treatment plan should be able to change with them.
COMMON QUESTIONS
A little clarity can go a long way.
We know starting mental health care can bring questions. Here are answers to some of the things patients ask us most.
-
Not necessarily. Medication needs are highly individual. For some people, medication may be helpful for a specific period of time; for others, longer-term treatment may provide the best support. Your provider will regularly evaluate how you’re doing, discuss benefits and concerns with you, and make treatment decisions collaboratively based on your needs and goals.
-
Therapy is personalized to you. Some people benefit from weekly sessions, while others may meet biweekly or less frequently as they make progress. You and your therapist will determine a schedule based on your needs, goals, and where you are in your treatment journey.
-
You don’t have to figure that out on your own. During the initial consultation, we’ll learn more about what you’re experiencing, your goals, and what kind of support you’re looking for. From there, we can help guide you toward the service and provider that best fit your needs.
-
Yes. Peace of Mind Wellness offers both in-person and telehealth appointments, depending on the service and provider. Our team can help you determine which options are available and appropriate for your care.
-
Your first appointment is an opportunity for us to understand you—not simply your symptoms. Your provider will talk with you about what brings you in, your history, current concerns, goals, and other factors that may be affecting your well-being. Together, you’ll begin developing a personalized plan for your care.
