MORE THAN A TITLE

A Voice. A Guide. A Mission.

CLINICIAN • FOUNDER • EDUCATOR • ADVOCATE

My work has always been rooted in one belief: people deserve mental health care that sees the whole person.

As a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner and founder of Peace of Mind Wellness, I have dedicated my career to creating care that brings together clinical expertise, compassion, thoughtful assessment, and genuine human connection.

But my work extends beyond the treatment room. Through education, mentorship, public speaking, and media, I work to make mental health information more accessible, help prepare the next generation of clinicians, and encourage conversations that move people toward greater understanding and wellness.

“The goal has never been simply
to treat a diagnosis. It is to
understand the person living with it.”

Where clinical expertise meets impact.

BEYOND THE PRACTICE

From patient care to national conversations, education, and media, my work is rooted in helping people better understand mental health—and helping clinicians deliver better care.

MY WHY

I know what it means to have life change without warning.

As a breast cancer survivor and someone who has walked through trauma, I understand what it feels like to be on the other side of care—to carry fear, uncertainty, vulnerability, and questions that cannot always be answered with a diagnosis or a treatment plan.

Those experiences changed me. They deepened the way I listen, the way I care, and the way I understand healing.

They taught me that people need more than clinical expertise. They need to feel seen when life feels unfamiliar. They need someone willing to listen beyond the symptoms, understand the person behind the diagnosis, and recognize the strength it sometimes takes simply to keep moving forward.

That is why my work is rooted in whole-person care. Whether I am sitting with a patient, mentoring a future clinician, educating a community, or speaking to a larger audience, I want people to leave with something more than information.

I want them to feel understood. I want them to feel empowered. And, above all, I want them to know that what happened to them does not have to define what comes next.

I don’t just believe in healing because I studied it. I believe in it because I’ve had to find my way through it, too.

The work is
personal.
